Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an assistant engineer to join our Leeds team.

The right candidate will need a minimum of 2 years’ experience in civil design and must have worked in the residential sector .

This opportunity will involve working closely with civil design team producing high quality infrastructure designs for developers, contractors and landowners.  The role will provide an excellent opportunity for career growth and will comprise of:

• Assisting with the production of flood risk and drainage assessments.
• Assisting in the preparation of highway designs, including horizontal and vertical geometry for
  agreement under Section 38 or 278.
• Preparation of external works and private drainage designs.
• Preparation of construction details.
• Liaise with clients and external agencies such as Lead Local Flood Authorities, The Environment Agency, Local Highway Authorities, and Water Authorities.
• Ensure communication with the management team to meet client requirements and deadlines and work collaboratively with the project team members.
• Undertake further professional development following the business development plan.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in consulting.
• Experience in the residential sector.
• Software experience in AutoCAD and civil engineering design packages.
• Experience in external works design and general detailing.
• Knowledge of drainage design software such as micro drainage is preferable but not essential.
