Structural Engineer

About This Role

The role will involve working alongside the Structural design team producing structural information across residential, care, education & commercial sectors , the role will comprise of:

  • Preparation of various structural information for buildings & infrastructure schemes including but not limited to structural calculations, reports & design documentation
  • Carry out structural analysis using industry standard software
  • Prepare designs that comply with UK building regulations, Eurocodes and Health & safety standards
  • Liaise with Architects, contractors & clients
  • Attend site inspections and meetings where required
  • Ensure communication with the management team to meet client requirements and deadlines and work collaboratively with the project team members

Skills and Experience

  • 3-6 years experience in a structural design consultancy
  • Bachelors degree in Civil or structural engineering
  • Experience in designing steel, concrete, timber & masonry (further training will be given to areas if required)
  • A good understanding using structural engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Masterseries
  • Familiar with site practices & construction methods
  • A good understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design principles using British Standards and Eurocodes
